About Matt Dickens
Matt is a licensed Mortgage Loan Officer in Missouri and Illinois. Before devoting his efforts full-time as a Loan Officer, Matt was a student at the University of Missouri. After he graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Finance & Real Estate, he started his career in real estate on the commercial side of the business.
After two years of administering the relationship between a landlord and tenant, Matt and his fiancé Rachel purchased a duplex in South St. Louis as a primary residence, which is now a functioning investment property. That first taste of real estate opened Matt's eyes to the blessings that young adults realize when they purchase real estate. It is the fundamental reason he decided to pursue a career in the mortgage business.
As Matt understands the substantial gap of knowledge many aspiring homeowners face, he is fully committed to helping his community achieve the same blessings he has by achieving homeownership at a young age. His mission is to enrich the understanding and experience of the home-buying journey. Matt's clients build the skills and knowledge required to succeed in today's dynamic market by leveraging his free first-time home buyer course, every-other weekly newsletter, and mortgage tools. Wifey
Matt recently married his childhood best friend Rachel in September 2023. Her independence, drive, and unwavering discipline are characteristics that make Rachel the perfect life partner. When they are not in the depths of a home renovation project, Matt & Rachel enjoy traveling, hanging by a pool, playing tennis, and spending time with family.
Family
He has a big one! Matt is the youngest of 3 and an Uncle of 5. Adopting his Mother’s vibrant personality and social skills with his Dad’s blue-collar “family first” attitude, Matt is forever grateful for the upbringing his parents blessed him with. The times spent with his family are those that he cherishes most as they are the reason he takes his career so seriously.
Hobbies
Matt grew the love of real estate and home renovation at an early age while working for his Father’s remodeling company. His blue-collar upbringing taught him valuable lessons that Matt leverages in his real estate investing endeavors. Although tearing down walls and installing tile are always enjoyable, Matt holds a deeper love for the game of golf. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t reciprocate those feelings back.. His swing is a perpetual work in progress!

Laura Miano is Matt’s right-hand Woman. Laura brings 12 years of experience and knowledge to the Dickens Mortgage team. It’s important to give clients a buying experience that is welcoming and memorable, and Laura’s expertise allows our clientele to not only understand the process, but enjoy it. Clients consistently compliment Laura for her diligent work ethic and willingness to see every situation through. As a main point of communication between clients and underwriters, Laura knows what it takes to get deals to the closing table with ease. Laura is licensed in Missouri, Illinois, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, and Tennessee.
